Why your support matters

Cybersecurity in the public interest depends on more than technology. It requires understandable knowledge, reliable tools, local partnerships and properly protected infrastructure.

Donations can prepare work that membership fees or services do not always cover: free access for selected audiences, translation, learning equipment, experimentation, maintenance and distribution of open resources.

What your donation can make possible

Priorities are determined by approved projects, identified needs and available resources. They are areas of work, not fixed percentages of a budget.

How a donation becomes useful action

The process links expenditure to an identifiable mission and a result that can be checked. Decisions consider the nonprofit purpose, actual capacity and risk.

The responsible body approves the scope and budget.

What we plan to track

We will publish results only when they can be linked to verified data. Indicators describe activity, reach and continuity without presenting an ambition as an achieved outcome.

Published resources: Guides, templates and content created, corrected or updated.

Our allocation and transparency rules

Unless a campaign expressly states a restricted purpose, donations support the association’s missions and the capabilities required to deliver them. Priorities may evolve with need.

Proportionate decision
Allocation follows internal responsibilities and must serve the nonprofit purpose.
Necessary and traceable expenditure
The project link, evidence and amount are retained under applicable requirements.
Independence protected
A donation grants no approval right over analyses, recommendations or the selection of beneficiaries.
Responsible publication
Results are presented after verification without exposing personal data or security-sensitive information.

You may make a one-off transfer or set up a standing order through your bank.

For a specific campaign, a significant donation or an in-kind contribution, contact us before transferring so that we can confirm it can be accepted and managed properly.

Tax treatment. A donation does not automatically qualify for tax relief. Unless a valid tax certificate is explicitly offered, please treat your payment as a donation without a tax benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I restrict my donation to a specific project?

Contact us before transferring. We will confirm whether the project can accept restricted support and how it will be reported. A bank reference alone does not automatically constitute acceptance of a restriction.

Can operating costs be funded?

Yes, when needed for the mission: secure hosting, backups, insurance, accounting, equipment, licences, translation or maintenance. These costs enable the work and must remain proportionate and documented.

Will I receive a tax certificate?

Not automatically. A certificate may be issued only where legal requirements are met and IBCSC expressly states this for the relevant campaign.

Can I offer equipment or expertise?

Yes, after a preliminary discussion. We assess usefulness, compatibility, future costs, security and our ability to manage the contribution properly.

How will results be published?

After a complete reference period, a summary may present supported projects, major spending categories and observable results without exposing personal or sensitive information.
